Important Info For Spring Track
  • We will be OUTSIDE.
  • There is not a bathroom at the track right now. Go before.
  • Dress Warm. A sweatshirt, training jacket, sweats, toque, and light gloves are all necessary until it warms up a bit.
  • Because the spring is more independent in nature it is recommended that our younger athletes attend only if you feel they are independent enough manage the looser structure of our spring practices.
  • Spring Club Fee: $50. Cash, cheque, or E-Transfer to lakelandyellowjackets@gmail.com

  • Spring practice are organized quite different than the winter. Generally, practices will be divided up into technical portions. The athletes are expected to be a more independent and be prepared for their technical time. Although ‘practice’ might be scheduled for 6-8 pm, the throwers might only be scheduled to throw from 7 to 7:45. See the schedule below.
  • The remainder of practice time (in and around the event practice) will be used for running/jumping/throwing training. This is where the independence/maturity of the athletes comes in.
  • After the middle of June that we arrange practice times with anyone who might be looking to continue competing through the summer.

May 26 - LSAA Central Ward Track (Grade 5-8)
May 27-28: St. Alberta Spring Meet
May 31 - LSAA Districts (Grades 5-8)
June 10 - 12: Caltaf Classic in Calgary
June 18 - 19: Foote Field: U16/U18 Legion Qualifying meet.
June 25-26: Leduc Classic: U10, U12, U14 Provincial Meet
July 9-10: U16, U18, U20 Provincials in Calgary
July 23-24: Sherwood Park Classic, last chance to get outdoor club results for the year.
PRACTICE SCHEDULE
